KC Associates’ “Superhero” Lead Generation Campaign Featured in Leading
Technology Marketing Report, Marketing Wisdom for 2007, from MarketingSherpa

 

Innovative direct mail campaign by KCA also received recognition in the
Yahoo!/CMO Council Big Idea Chair competition and generated $500k in revenues
for local client, Zomax.

Minneapolis, August 22, 2007— KC Associates (KCA), the only Twin Cities marketing services and public relations agency exclusively for B2B information technology (IT) companies, today announced that its Zomax “Superhero” campaign was honored as a creative and successful B2B lead generation campaign in Marketing Wisdom for 2007. The report, published annually by MarketingSherpa, highlights effective efforts in email and search marketing, advertising, blogging, website design and B2B marketing. More than 237,000 advertising, marketing and PR professionals read MarketingSherpa’s publications every week.

KC Associates created the Superhero campaign for Zomax, Inc., a provider of outsourced supply-chain services for software publishers and technology clients, including Microsoft, Dell and Apple Computer. The direct mail piece was a video game-like package, personalized for the recipient, with cover art of a superhero figure wearing a tool belt featuring creative twists on Zomax’s service, such as a “Supply Chain Accelerator,” “Inventory Normalizer” and “Peak Demand Modulator.”

The campaign, which was also recognized with a number of honors including the Yahoo!/CMO Council Big Idea Chair award, targeted supply-chain executives at midsized and large consumer software companies. The results were excellent: more than 30 percent of recipients viewed the CD; of the 6 percent who entered into active sales cycles, a third became clients, producing more than $500,000 in revenue.
