Kirsten Chapman.

Kirsten Chapman is a business and marketing executive with nearly 30 years' experience in the IT industry, specializing in strategic market development.

Chapman’s expertise in marketing strategy, product marketing and communications, combined with her early career in sales with IBM, Honeywell Information Systems and Cap Gemini, give her a unique perspective on building and executing go-to-market strategies and programs that drive revenues and position companies to achieve their most advantageous valuations.

In addition to founding KC Associates in 1988, Chapman’s professional consulting career includes executive duties as the marketing director for Authorware (1988-1989), vice president of marketing for Worth Information (1992-1993) and chief marketing and alliances officer for illuminate Solutions (2008-2009). In 2002, Chapman co-founded SoftwareMinds, a custom and syndicated research venture that provided software and IT services firms marketing and product management benchmark data as well as high-level strategy consulting services.

Chapman has been an adjunct professor and guest lecturer (graduate and undergraduate levels) at the Universities of Minnesota and St. Thomas, specializing in business strategy and policy as well as organizational behavior. She has been an invited speaker on a wide variety of marketing-related topics for the Minnesota Software Association, Frontline Forum, Minnesota High Tech Association, Microsoft’s Channel Partner Summit, and Software Business magazine.

Chapman holds a master’s degree in strategic management from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Denver.
