Tom Pick

Tom Pick is a digital marketing and PR director with 20 years’ experience in promoting technology products and services.

Pick has managed digital marketing and PR programs as well as provided SEO and website analytics for nearly all of KCA’s clients since 2006, including Kinetic Data, Avantstar, Digitiliti, Sopheon TAB Products, Smeadsoft and Workface.

In addition to his work at KCA, Pick writes the Webbiquity b2b marketing blog, which covers social media, SEO, PR and digital marketing. He contributes regularly to popular sites such as Social Media Today, Focus and My Venture Pad.

Prior to joining KC Associates, Pick was director of corporate communications at Collins Associates, where he developed and implemented an integrated strategy of media relations, web marketing and SEO, sales collateral and event marketing programs. Previous to Collins, Pick spent nine years with SoftBrands (formerly Fourth Shift), managing analyst relations, PR, web marketing, SEO and trade shows. As director of Americas marketing, he led a team that successfully launched two new products.

Pick began his career with Printware, a pioneer in digital prepress technology. During his seven-year tenure, Pick moved from technical writing and engineering team leadership to developing and executing direct marketing, PR and lead generation programs.

Pick’s work has been recognized with industry awards in website development, online/interactive marketing and PR, as well as blogging, and he’s been named one of the 50 most influential b2b marketing thought leaders, a Twin Cities Top 10 Titan in Social Media, and a B2B Marketer to Watch by the American Marketing Association. He also co-founded the B2BMarketingZone.com portal for b2b blogs and the Social Media Informer social media content aggregation site.

Pick holds a master’s degree in marketing from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from St. Cloud State University.
